Dr Phaneendra M S specialised in public health, after the completion of MBBS and MD in Community Medicine. Currently, he is leading the Divine Mother and Child Healthcare Program (DMCHP) in Karnataka, which is a unique public health initiative established in the year 2018 to cater to the health issues of mother and child.

Dr Kul Bhushan Bali has over 33 years of postgraduate experience in managing all types of conditions related to ear, nose, and throat. After completing his MBBS, Dr Bali pursued MS, FACS, FEB-ORL HNS and has worked both in India and various countries abroad. His rich medical acumen in this field for over three decades includes clinical, operative, and teaching experience. Two years ago, he decided to dedicate himself to the selfless service of the nation by joining the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital.

Dr Asha Damodaran | Consultant Physician

Dr Asha Damodaran, worked at the Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Mumbai for over 23 years and at other rural units of Department of Atomic Energy for 11 years, after completing her MBBS from Indore (Madhya Pradesh). After having held several senior roles, including that of senior administrative as well as clinical in-charge at BARC Medical Division, she retired in the year 2002. Prior to joining the team at Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital, she served at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Kharghar, Mumbai (Maharashtra) for two years.

Dr Rajdip Barai | Consultant Physician

Dr Rajdip Barai, after completing MBBS and MD in General Medicine, trained in Diabetes at Dr Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre, Chennai in South India. Dr Barai also worked as a Physician in the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences in Puttaparthi (Andhra Pradesh) in South India between 2012 and 2018, before joining the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital.

Dr Saritha Purushothaman | Consultant Paediatrician

Dr Saritha Purushothaman is a MD in Paediatrics, DCH, MRCPCH (UK). Previously she served as a middle grade doctor, Paediatric and Neonatal, BHR NHS Trust, London, United Kingdom. She also worked as a consultant pediatrician at the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital at Puttaparthi (Andhra Pradesh) in South India. She also served as an Assistant Professor in Paediatrics for a few years at the Pariyaram Medical College, Kannur, Kerala in the southern part of India.

Dr Aparna Dwivedi | Physiotherapist

Dr Aparna Dwivedi, after completing her Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Diploma in Physiotherapy (DPT) worked in various reputed hospitals and clinics in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh such as Nova hospital, Ortho clinic and X-ray and Himalayan Hospital and Trauma Centre. She then worked at the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Science at Puttaparthi briefly for a year, before moving to Karnataka to join the team at the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital.

After completing Pre-University at the Sri Sathya Sai educational institutions, Dr Raghupati pursued MBBS, and went on to complete his MD from the Mysore Medical College in Karnataka, and served in the Medical Education Department, teaching many aspiring physicians. After retiring from his post, he re-tyred himself and joined the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital, to serve the destitute population of the Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka.

Dr K Ramesh Rao | Dentist

Dr K Ramesh Rao completed his BDS from the University of Madras in 1973 and DDS from the University of Buffalo, New York in 1990. He was a medical practitioner in Zambia and the United States for over 27 years and moved to India to join the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital. He leads the team at the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital and is seen at the forefront of all medical camps which are regularly conducted in the surrounding villages.

Dr Sai lakshmi B M  | Dentist

After completing her Pre-University at the Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School in Puttaparthi (Andhra Pradesh), Dr Sailakshmi pursued BDS at a reputed medical college at Bengaluru. After gaining experience at a few private clinics, she joined the Sri Sathya Sai educational institutions at Muddenahalli (near Bengaluru) to serve the children of the campuses as a dentist. As part of the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital team, Dr Sailakshmi is actively involved in the dental hygiene of students and extends her services to the rural population of the Chikkaballapur district.

Dr Namita Bali | Consultant Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Dr Namita Bali completed her MBBS and MD in FRCOG. She has over 33 years of postgraduate experience in managing all types of conditions related to women health. She was trained both in India and abroad and was working in the Gulf for the past 27 years. Upon her decision to dedicate herself to the selfless service of humanity, she decided to dedicate her life towards the upliftment of the health of rural women by joining the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital.

Dr K Surya Prabha | Gynaecologist

Dr K Surya Prabha completed her MBBS and MD in DGO from the Andhra Medical College Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh in South India. She worked as a Gynaecologist and was the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gyanaecology at the 22-bedded hospital she set up at Vishakapatanam, Andhra Pradesh for over 35 years. She closed down the hospital to join the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital to serve in Baba’s healthcare mission by serving children and women from the underprivileged strata of society.

Dr Vinodini Mahishi | Gynaecologist

Dr Vinodini Mahishi, upon completing MBBS and DGO, has been a practicing Gynaecologist for over five decades and has gained immense experience in her field. She joined the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital ever since the first phase of its inception in January 2018.

Dr Hiramalini Seshadri | Consultant Rheumatologist

Dr Hiramalini Seshadri, a Vellorian, was the Best Outgoing Medical Student among all nine Medical Colleges of the University of Madras and won the Medicine Prize for MD. She became the first Indian lady doctor to be nominated to the British Society for Rheumatology in 1987. She brings experience of working in rural Kerala, a JCI approved leading corporate hospital, a home for the destitute - Udhavum Karangal, an NGO for the homeless mentally ill- The Banyan, and two plus decades at the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospitals in Whitefield and Prasanthi Nilayam, as Rheumatologist. A well-known writer and author, her magnum opus is a reference book titled, ‘Towards Excellence in Modern Healthcare - a Human Values Based Perspective with Practical Guidelines’, recommended by the Institute of Human Values of the Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence.

Dr Seshadri Harihar | Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Seshadri Harihar, MRC(Psych) UK, is a graduate of the prestigious Christian Medical College, Vellore. While in the UK, he was awarded the Lancashire County Award for dedicated service in 1987 and was also nominated to serve on the jury of the Manchester Crown Court, a rare honour for a foreigner. He worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist at The Banyan for over three decades. He also contributed his services as a Consultant Visiting Psychiatrist at the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospitals at Whitefield and Prasanthi Nilayam for nearly two decades. Dr Seshadri also guides PhD candidates at the University of Madras. He has authored two books which went popular— ‘The Saience of Medicine – where modern medicines meets spirituality’, ‘Educare – for parents, teachers and students’.
